I’d like to introduce you to The Villages Community and all that retired (or, in my case, not-quite-retired) life can offer. If you already live here, I hope that through my informational articles and videos, you might learn something new and interesting about this beautiful, vibrant community. Areas of The Villages

The Villages is divided into four main areas, each with its own town square:

Spanish Springs Town Square to the north
Lake Sumter Landing in the mid-north
Brownwood Paddock Square in the mid-south, and
Eastport, currently being built in the far south

Each of these areas has its own character and assortment of villages. In turn, each of these individual villages has its own personality, amenities, and community. Check out the links below to explore the various areas within The Villages.

It's The Largest Retirement Community in the United States

The Villages is the largest retirement community and the fastest-growing metro area in the United States with a population exceeding 150,000 residents (and growing).

It's the Golf Cart Capital of the World

There are over 70,000 golf carts in The Villages, and residents use them not just for golf but as everyday transportation on more than 100 miles of dedicated golf cart paths.

There's Nightly Entertainment Every Night of the Year

Spanish Springs Town Square, Lake Sumter Landing, and Brownwood Paddock Square each have their own unique architectural style and feature live music every single night of the year—a tradition that has been going on for decades. A fourth town square called Eastport is currently being built.

There's More Golf Than You Can Shake a Club At

The Villages has more golf holes than any other community in the world. There are over 700 holes of golf across numerous championship and executive courses.

The Villages Puts Safety First

Thanks to its design, private security, and community involvement, The Villages consistently ranks as one of the safest places to live in Florida, with very low crime rates.

There's Organization Overload

Villages residents participate in over 3,000 organized clubs and activities, from model railroading to ballroom dancing to genealogy. If you tried one new activity every day, it would take you more than eight years to experience them all.

It's a Pickleball Paradise

Pickleball is the fastest-growing sport in America, and The Villages is often called the Pickleball Capital of the World, with hundreds of courts, numerous leagues, and thousands of residents who play daily settings.
